The Cheltenham Journal is an independent news and information site for Cheltenham, Charlton Kings, Prestbury, Leckhampton, Up Hatherley and Swindon Village, reporting what the public record shows and keeping the everyday local information accurate.
How we work
We report from primary sources: Cheltenham Borough Council’s own records and newsroom, the official planning register, police.uk crime data, The Gazette, the Food Standards Agency register and other public records, and we link every fact to its source so you can check it yourself. Where a record is ambiguous we say so. We use British English and plain language.
